Muslims well not be seeing Christians threating people for satire because they have had an reformation of the mind (maturing of the mind). Muslims are the real deal of primate over cartoons.
Nice to see the Muslim Debate Initiative maintaining their usual standards of respect with a cartoon portaying the head of the Anglican communion as a parasite-eating sex pest, and the synod hurling faeces at each other. You’re just an adolescent boys club really arent you?
Oh grow up Tom! This was sent to me by a senior Church of England clergyman friend of mine here in London – he thought I would enjoy it – and I think its absolutely hilarious. If you have a sense of humour failure Tom dont go blaming MDI..
Don’t get me wrong, I love irreverent cartoons (I’m particularly excited about the new Beavis and Butthead episodes being made) but I don’t think you’d have posted a cartoon of a lascivious mufti picking fleas out of his beard and eating them. Just Sayin’!
Aaaanyway.
I’m a little protective of Rowan- a very intelligent, good and insightful man who comes off better in print than voice. Ditto John Sentamu.
I think their hermeneutics are persuasive and will gain momentum when New atheism eventually and inevitably wanes. And the world will be better for it. The difficulty, as always, will be in taking sophisticated ideas to congregations.
